Bateman appeared in Sky TV’s 2013 television series The Tunnel and also appeared in the 2013 – 2015 TV series Da Vinci’s Demons as Giuliano de’ Medici. In 2015 he starred as Robert Jekyll the leading character in the 10-episode British television series Jekyll and Hyde and after two years in 2017, he made his Hollywood debut, playing Bouc in the comedy film Snatched and in the mystery film Murder on the Orient Express.
Back in 2018 August, he had been announced as the lead character in ITV’s Beecham House, which aired in 2019. In 2019 Bateman starred as the main villain in the film Cold Pursuit. In 2014, Bateman portrayed William Shakespeare in the original London production of Shakespeare in Love.Bateman is a cast member of the Death on the Nile, which will be released on October 9, 2020, by 20th Century Studios in the United States.
